Artist, designer and stylist Gregory Conover is a graduate of The Memphis College of Art with a BFA in Surface Design.
Conover’s assemblage constructions and paintings have been shown in San Francisco at Friday the Thirteenth Gallery and nationwide at various galleries in New York City, Kansas City, MO., Memphis, TN., and Nuremberg, Germany. He is a co-founder of the art collaborative group called THEME and has done 17 shows with that group alone.
His shows have featured thematic works on paper, jewelry, found object embellished constructions, mosaic tile work, home décor accessories and furniture.
Conover’s decorative designs have appeared on products such as greeting cards, gift wrap, and boxed note cards for Hallmark, Current, Paramount and Stationery Domain.
Gregory has worked for Neiman Marcus, Gucci, I. Magnin, Hermes, Benefit Cosmetics, Escada and others as a visual merchandising stylist. He does custom individual home décor and business styling for commercial spaces.
“My environment and home are important to me, whether it’s using it as a studio to create individual pieces of art or decorating and transforming the space to meet the needs of entertaining others with a fabulous party. It’s all the same to me, it’s still art”, says Conover.
